Hoopla! Frozen Yogurt

Some people say the frozen yogurt industry is in a decline, but you would never know that by walking into a Hoopla! Frozen Yogurt on a Monday. That's because Hoopla celebrates every Monday with its Monday Funday program. Customers can fill up a 12 oz. cup with as much frozen yogurt and topping that can fit in the cup for a flat price of $3.49 (plus tax).

This is one of the reasons I enjoy Hoopla. I've made countless memories at Hoopla's Monday Funday with my friends. One of the benefits of being a student at St. John Fisher College is being so close to Hoopla in Pittsford Plaza.

The Hoopla franchise started in Binghamton, NY. Now, there are 14 Hoopla locations throughout New York and Pennsylvania. According to Cassie Kench, manager of Hoopla in Pittsford, the owner of the Hoopla in Pittsford also owns the Hoopla in Greece and Orchard Park. The Hoopla in Greece opened in June 2014 while the Pittsford location opened shortly after in October 2014. At the Greece grand opening, Hoopla co-owner Matt Walsh said, "We value community, guest experience, variety and healthier options for children and adults alike, and it shows in our stores and in our desserts."

Hoopla makes the frozen yogurt experience easy and fun from the moment customers walk in. Customers are greeted with a vibrant environment consisting of pink and green decor, today's pop jams, and friendly staff.

Hoopla allows customers to make their own frozen yogurt creations: just swirl it, top it, and weigh it. First, customers grab a cup and choose their bottoms. They can choose from different cereals to brownies or cookies. Then, customers have 21 flavors to choose from that change from season to season. Customers can also try out as many flavors as they like before making their final selection. Next, it's on to toppings. There are a variety of fresh fruits and candies for customers to choose. Finally, they weigh and pay.
